Training civil society leaders and working with grassroots organizations is a common thread for all of my work in the US, Cameroon, Iraq, and Kosovo. My expertise in communication and new media strategy provides added value to any training I facilitate.
Youth Advocacy Network - a start-up NGO based in Buea Cameroon.
I worked with young entrepreneurs teaching them to research development and social justice issues online and in their communities. The students were taught to utilize this research to launch advocacy campaigns online - including videos and podcasts. You can view their work here.
Empowered Communities Basrah - United Nations Capacity Building Project
Forty-two civil society organizations were trained in project management, grant writing, budgeting, organizational development, coalition building, and community organizing over a nine-week period. These organizations created a coalition and went on, after their training, to speak as human rights and humanitarian experts at the Empowered Communities Basrah Conference with members of the Provincial Council and international community.
